If an entry is showing in the wrong age group, style, level, or performance type, here is how to fix it.
Before Entries Close
If the entry is still in DRAFT or SUBMITTED status and entries have not closed:
- Go to your Entries page
- Find the entry
- Delete the entry
- Create a new entry with the correct section combination (age group, style, level, performance type)
You cannot change the section of an existing submitted entry. You must delete and recreate it.
After Entries Close
If entries have closed or the entry is already SCHEDULED:
- Contact the event organiser using the "Contact Organiser" button
- Explain which entry needs to be moved and to which section
- The organiser can edit entries at any time, including changing sections
Why Is the Age Group Wrong?
The age group is automatically calculated based on the dancer(s) in the entry and the event's configured calculation method:
- Solo entries: uses the single dancer's age under the event's method
- Group entries: uses the average age of all dancers (rounded to the nearest whole number)
- The method ("as of 1 January of the event year" or "as of the first day of the event") is set by the organiser per event
If the age group seems wrong, check:
- Is each dancer's date of birth correct in their profile?
- For groups, compute the average of the dancers' ages and see whether that lands in the expected division
- Confirm which method the event uses. The answer changes for dancers whose birthday falls between 1 January and the event date
- See "How Is My Dancer's Age Calculated?" for full details
