Your dancer roster is the master list of all dancers at your studio. Add them once and they're available for all events you register for.

Age Calculation (Important!)
How age is determined:
- The organiser sets the calculation method per event. The default is "as of January 1 of the event year" (the dance industry standard), with an alternative "as of the first day of the event".
- Whichever method the event uses, age is computed the same way for every entry. There are no per-entry overrides.
Example (Jan-1 method, the default):
- Dancer born: May 15, 2010
- Event starts: May 2025
- Calculated age: 14 years old (even though they turn 15 in May, because their birthday hasn't happened yet on Jan 1, 2025).
Example (event-day method, when the organiser chose it):
- Same dancer, same event in May 2025
- Calculated age: 15 years old (they have already turned 15 by the event start date).
For group entries:
- Age is the average of all participants (rounded to the nearest whole number)
- System automatically calculates and assigns age division
Dancer Accounts (Optional)
Dancers can create their own Kompdesk accounts to view personal information:
How it works:
- Share your Studio Code with dancers/parents
- Dancer goes to Register as Independent Dancer
- Enters your studio code during registration
- System links them to your studio
What linked dancers can see:
- Their personal competition schedule
- Their entries and what they're performing
- Their scores and placements (after release)
- Their certificates (downloadable)
Important: Dancers do NOT need accounts for you to register them for events. This is optional and just gives them direct access to their information.
Managing Dancer Information
Keep dancer profiles updated:
