Wizard Step 8: Category Durations

Set minimum and maximum performance time limits for each performance type.

This step is optional. Set minimum and maximum performance durations for each performance type.

How Durations Work

Each performance type you selected in Step 7 appears with duration fields. The maximum duration is the longest time allowed for performances of that type. The minimum duration is optional: leave it blank if entries of that type have no minimum time. When a minimum is set, it must not be greater than the maximum.

Fields (Per Performance Type)

FieldDescription
Maximum Minutes0–30 minutes
Maximum Seconds0–59 seconds
Minimum MinutesOptional, 0–30 minutes. Blank means no minimum.
Minimum Seconds0–59 seconds

The formatted duration is shown inline (e.g., "2:30" for 2 minutes 30 seconds).

Battle Types

Battle-format performance types show "N/A" (no fixed duration) and cannot have a duration set. Battles run until the elimination rounds are complete.

Validation

  • All non-battle performance types must have a duration of at least 30 seconds
  • Seconds are clamped to the 0–59 range

Skipping This Step

Check "I'll add durations later" to skip. Default durations can be configured from the Event Dashboard.
