Wizard Step 12: Custom Awards

This step is optional. Configure special awards and gala evening nominations.

Gala Evening

Toggle "Judges Can Nominate for Gala" to enable gala nominations:

• When enabled, judges see a "Nominate for Gala" option on each score card
• Judges can flag standout performances for the gala evening showcase
• You can review all nominations from the Event Dashboard

Custom Awards

Create special recognition awards beyond standard placements.

Adding an Award:

1. Click "Add Award" to open the form
2. Enter the Award Name (e.g., "Best Choreography", "Most Entertaining")
3. Select the Award Type:
   • Judge Nomination: Judges vote/nominate the recipient
   • Top Score in Section: Automatically awarded to the highest score in a specific section
   • Top Score Overall: Automatically awarded to the highest overall score (only revealed after all schedule days are completed)
   • Top Score per Session: Automatically awarded to the highest score in each session. A session is the block of sections before each awards ceremony in the schedule, so add awards ceremony items to your schedule to define the sessions. Sections after the last awards ceremony of a day do not join a session. Only one of these awards is needed; it covers every session automatically.
4. For "Top Score in Section", select which section the award applies to
5. Optionally add a Description
6. Click "Add Award"

Awards are listed in a table showing the name, type, section (if applicable), and a delete button.

Important Notes

• Award names must be unique
• "Top Score in Section" awards require you to select a section. This option is only available if you've configured sections in Step 9
• "Top Score" awards are calculated automatically based on scores; "Judge Nomination" awards require judges to vote
