The MC View is a specialised schedule display designed for the master of ceremonies (announcer) at your event. It shows all the information the MC needs to introduce performers, announce sections, and keep the event flowing.
What the MC View Shows
Unlike the standard public schedule, the MC View includes:
- Dancer names for every entry (up to 3 shown, with a count of the remaining dancers for larger groups)
- Entry numbers displayed as prominent badges
- Judge assignments for each section
- Style, level, age division, and performance type for each entry
- Section names with colour-coded icons by type (performance, break, awards, showcase, etc.)
- Estimated timing and actual duration for each section
How to Access
- From your Event Dashboard, copy the MC View link from the Shareable Links section
- Send it to your MC before the event
- The MC opens the link in any browser. Until 25 Nov 2026 no login is needed and a banner explains the change. From that date the MC must sign in with an account that has the MC Controls or Detailed Schedule screen
The cleaner route is to invite the MC under Event Staff Access: they accept, sign in, and find the screen in their Staff Portal. See "Event staff and what they can open".
The URL format is: kompdesk.com/mc/e/[code]. It opens today's day automatically.
Features
Day Selector: Switch between competition days using the dropdown at the top

Expandable Sections: Click any section to expand it and see all entries with full details. Click again to collapse.
Real-Time Updates: The page automatically refreshes every 30 seconds to pick up schedule changes made by the organiser
Info Tab: Toggle to an Info view to see judge names, competition details, venue information, and contact details

Tips for the MC
- Open the MC View on a tablet or laptop at the podium for easy reference
- Use the search box to quickly jump to an entry number
- Keep sections collapsed until you need them to avoid scrolling
- The page updates automatically. No need to manually refresh
