When a studio reports that an entry has "disappeared", the Activity Log answers it. Open your event dashboard and choose Activity Log in the sidebar.
What is recorded
Every one of these actions writes a record before it runs, with the signed-in account, the page it was done from, and the details of what was removed:
- An entry deleted (from your dashboard, a studio's Entries page, an independent dancer's page, a section delete, a date-of-birth change or a studio withdrawal)
- A dancer removed from an event, including every group entry the removal deleted
- A dancer deleted outright or removed from a studio roster (recorded for platform support; these are not tied to one event, so ask Kompdesk support for them)
- A studio removed from an event
- A dancer removed from a group entry in the entry form
- A music file replaced or removed (the old file name and the new one)
- A section deleted, with the entries that were in it
- Remove all sections, and the whole event being deleted
Schedule changes, payments and ticket settings made through the platform are listed as well.
Reading a record
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| When | Date and time the action was confirmed |
| What | The action. Red badges are deletions. A yellow badge marks a deletion that failed part-way |
| Who | The account that confirmed it and its role (organiser, studio owner, dancer, guardian, platform admin) |
| Where | The page or flow: for example "Studio portal, Dancers page (Unregister)" |
| Details | Entry number, routine name, section, studio, dancers and music file as they were at that moment |
The record is written on the server before the deletion starts. If it cannot be written, nothing is deleted, so a deletion without a record is not possible.
Tips
- Deletions only is on by default. Switch it off to see schedule, payment and ticket changes too
- Use the search box to find a routine name, dancer, studio or account
- Export CSV downloads the rows you are looking at, useful when a studio asks for proof
- Load older records pages further back in time
Recreating a deleted entry
The record holds everything needed to add the entry again: routine name, section, studio and dancers. Use Add Entry on the dashboard, then ask the studio to upload the music again (the old file name is in the record).
