Navigating the Platform

Logging In

After logging in, you'll be taken to the Portal Selector page if you have multiple roles. This page shows a card for each portal you can access, colour-coded by role:

If you have only one role, you'll go straight to that portal's dashboard.

The User Menu

In the top-right corner of every page, click your name to open the User Menu. It contains:

• Your name and email at the top
• Kompdesk Home: return to the main landing page
• My Dashboards: quick links to all your role portals (the active one is highlighted with a "Current" badge)
• Event Portal: appears when you're viewing an event, linking directly to the event's portal pages
• Sign Out: at the bottom

Event-Specific Navigation

When you enter an event portal (e.g., for a competition), navigation items are grouped into sections for easy browsing:

Studio Portal at an Event:

• Portal: Dashboard, Competition Info, Schedule, Judges, Results
• Studio: Dancers, Entries, Check-In, Fees, Dancer accounts, Studio Code, Studio Settings

Dancer Portal at an Event:

• Event: Dashboard, Competition Info, Schedule, Judges, Venue
• My Dancing: My Entries, Results

Independent Dancer Portal at an Event:

• Event: Dashboard, Comp Details, Schedule, Judges
• My Account: Manage Entries, My Details, Fees and Payments, My Items, Results, Certificates

Mobile Navigation

On phones and tablets:

• Tap the hamburger menu (three lines) to open the sidebar navigation
• The mobile menu shows the same grouped sections as the desktop sidebar
• The User Menu collapses to an avatar icon with a chevron
• All layouts are responsive and touch-friendly

Finding Help

• Click the help icon (floating button, bottom-right on portal pages) to open this Help Center
• Use the search bar at the top to find specific topics
• Browse categories relevant to your role
