Unlinking or Deleting a Dancer Profile

The difference between unlinking a dancer from your account and deleting their profile.

These are two different things, and only one of them can be undone.

ActionWhat Happens
Unlink from my accountThe dancer comes off your account. Their profile, entries, and results stay exactly as they are, and their studio still sees them. You can claim them again later
Delete profileThe dancer profile itself is removed. This cannot be undone

Where to Find Them

Open the child from My Dancers, then use the ... menu next to Edit Profile. Unlink is also available directly on the dancer's card on My Dancers.

Edit Profile stays as a normal button; unlink and delete sit behind the menu on purpose, so a permanent action is not a thumb's width from an everyday one.

When Delete Is Refused

A dancer with event registrations or entries cannot be deleted. You will see a message telling you to unlink instead. This protects an organiser's event data: the child's entries, scores, and results are part of a competition that has already happened.

If a profile genuinely needs removing, for example a duplicate created by mistake, contact support and quote both profiles.

Deleting a Duplicate

Do not delete the profile the studio has been using. Unlink the wrong one from your account, claim the right one, and ask support to merge them if entries exist on both.
